Devil's Path Trail

Rough Terrain

The red-blazed Devil's Path is a 24+ mile trail that crosses Indian Head Mountain, Twin Mountain, Sugarloaf Mountain, Plateau Mountain, Hunter Mountain and West Kill Mountain.

It is divided into eastern and western sections by NY-214. The eastern section features Indian Head, Twin, Sugarloaf and Plateau and is one of the most challenging hikes in the east. The western section features Hunter and West Kill and is a far more forgiving trail.

The Devil's Path meets the southern end of the yellow-blazed Hunter Mountain Trail as well as intersecting the blue-blazed Diamond Notch Trail near the end of Spruceton Road.
