The Balsam Lake Mountain Trail is a red-blazed trail that crosses Balsam Lake Mountain. It is roughly L-shaped, with one leg on the southern face of the mountain and one on the eastern face. It intersects with the Dry Brook Ridge Trail at both ends and with the Mill Brook Ridge Trail on the southern face near the 3500' marker. There is a spring near this intersection. The leg on the southern face is fairly steep and rocky.
